The Island Insider very rarely likes to acknowledge that there are other places in the world to vacation besides here, but we couldn’t resist pointing this one out. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, than Turks & Caicos has definitely arrived.
In a recent article in Forbes Traveller about tropical South American holiday retreats, the island of Ponta dos Ganchos was described as “very Turks & Caicos.”
We can only assume that means this little Brazilian island has unbelievable white sandy beaches, friendly people, world class resorts and restaurants, and is easy to get to from anywhere in North America or Europe (being a remote island off the coast of Brazil, that last one might be tough to match us on).
By the way, that’s our beach in the picture!
