| TURKS AND CAICOS FILM FESTIVAL LAUNCHES IN ATLANTA |

Thursday, September 28, 2006, GRAND TURK, Turks & Caicos Islands: The Turks and Caicos Islands are gearing up to host the 2006 International Film Festival scheduled to take place October 17 - 21, 2006 in Providenciales.
Leading up to the event, officials from the Ministry of Tourism have held promotional events in cities throughout the United States with the most recent being held in Atlanta on September 23.
The 2006 Film Festival, according to Premier and Minister of Tourism, Dr Michael Misick, is organized in a manner to set it a part from all others in the region. ?We want to make the Turks and Caicos Islands Film Festival the Cannes of the region,? said Misick.
He also noted that the number of persons that the event will draw to the shores of the Turks and Caicos Islands is yet another means of helping people to discover the jewel of the Caribbean.
Executive Director, Jasmin Guy in a statement said, ?The Turks and Caicos Islands Film Festival will celebrate those films from all over the world that best marry music to cinema through content, character, theme or score/soundtrack.?
The TCIFF personally backed by Misick, boasts an elite advisory board representing leaders in the worlds of entertainment and business. Members such as Bruce Willis, Oscar winning Director Paul Haggis, and BET Founder Bob Johnson will ensure that the Festival maintains a prestige that only a few others could hope to match.
