Big Things Popping! - Sunday Night now features T.I., Michael Bolton & a Great Night of Comedy
Change in Festival program means T.I. performs Sunday Night and TOK perform on Friday Night!

PROVIDENCIALES, TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS (Tuesday July 10, 2007) – Big Things are definitely popping, to paraphrase T. I.’s newest smash hit, as the closing night for the 2007 Turks & Caicos Music and Cultural Festival closes out with mega superstars T.I. and Michael Bolton. T.I., voted best Hip-Hop artist of the year at the recent BET Awards, is closing out this year’s Festival on a night that will have audiences truly enjoying a well rounded night of entertainment, comedy and music.

“By far, this is the best closing night of the festival that we have ever had.” said Ralph Higgs, Director of Tourism Marketing for the Turks & Caicos Tourist Board.  “Getting T.I. to close the Festival will insure that everyone who attends will have great memories that last a lifetime” he added. “Plus Michael Bolton will certainly have all the lovers in the mood with his dynamic show, and the all-star list of comedians will make sure everyone is feeling happy and in a good mood, too!”

Michael Bolton is extremely happy to be performing at this year’s festival. “It’s my honor to share this music, and these moments, with my fans!” he said. In addition to T.I., Michael Bolton, the Sunday night entertainment will also feature a night of comedy featuring international comedy stars, Beth Payne, Michael Colyar, Shirley Underwood and Jamaica’s own PaleFace.

The Honourable Wayne Garland, Executive Chairman for the Tourist Board felt that it is important for the Festival to continue to evolve and promote different types of music and entertainment. “By getting performers as diverse as T.I. and Michael Bolton on the same night’s lineup, literally allows us to insure there is something for every musical taste. And, by including some of the world’s elite comedians, insures that the Festival creates a happy and positive feeling, and generates tremendous added exposure for the event and for the Turks and Caicos Islands all over the world!”
