 Your knowledgeable driver/guide will provide you with cultural and historical information along the way. You will pass by the St Tomas Parish Church and the “salt pans”, evidence of Grand Turk’s salt-raking past. You will continue to famous Duke Street. As you drive along this quaint street lined with historical homes, your guide will provide fascinating information regarding the home’s history and colourful current and past residents. You will then arrive at Front Street located in Cockburn (pronounced co-burn), the heart of the Turks and Caicos capital. Here you will stroll along the street as your guide points out areas of interest including the Anglican Church, the Victoria Public Library and other historical buildings. You will then re-board your transport for the ride to Governor’s Beach, upon arrival you will be greeted by the friendly staff and you will be provided with complimentary snorkel gear and instruction on its proper use. Provo Ponies
|
 Provo Ponies is a small riding stable located on the southeast end of the island of Providenciales. We do two guided rides a day, morning ride at 9:30am and an afternoon ride at 3:30pm during winter hours, 4:30 during the summer. You can book a one hour ride or a 90 minute ride. We can take all experience levels from 6 years old and up (if they are younger they must be experienced riders). Groups are never more than 12 riders. Private rides are available for an additional fee of $35 and a minimum of 2 people are required. Helmets are available. We ride along quiet dirt roads through trails to Long Bay Beach, a 4 mile long secluded beach. We do not do nose to tail type rides, and more experienced riders are given the chance to trot or canter along the beach depending on the tides. The shallow waters of the Caicos Banks off Long Bay make it an ideal place to take your horse into the ocean. We can arrange for transportation to and from your hotel. |
